So, I won’t tell you who my first creator is until April 3rd (the layout is in the gallery, so once you’ve done your version, you can flip through the pages and try to guess which layout I picked!). The only thing I can say is it’s not a DT member…
Ready to start? I’ll give you half of the directives right now, and the rest later… You can start creating right away or wait until all the directives are given to create. You have until next Friday to complete your layout. On that day (and not before), come show it to us on the Secret Creator game thread: . On Sunday, I’ll let you guess who it was and then reveal the original creator and layout so you can compare!
Gather your material
1 5X7 picture (orientation: portrait)
1 12X12 sheet of cardstock or background pattern paper
3 coordinating pattern paper pieces (or cardstock, it’s up to you), sizes range from 7X9 to 2X9
4 accents to your taste (not too small, let’s say between 1” and 2”
One larger accent (around 5” high)
Lettering for title
Directives
** All layers can be distressed if you want **
1. Start with your 12X12” background cardstock (or paper).
2. ½” from the right side, and ½” from the top, adhere a 6 3/4″w X 11″h piece of paper (or cardstock).
3. Adhere over it a 2″w X 9″h piece of pattern paper (or cardstock) so that it is 3″ from the right side, and centered up and down on the previous piece of paper (so 1 ½ ” from the top).
4. Over both pieces of paper, adhere a 6 ½”w X 7 ½”h piece of pattern paper (or cardstock), so it is 3 ½” from the right side, and centered up and down on the previous piece of pattern paper (so 2 ¼” from the top).
5. Adhere your picture, so it is ¼” from top, bottom and right side of the top piece of paper.

I LOVE this – it’s one step better than a sketch because it’s like a surprise unfolding before you!
Kudos to whoever came up with this game!
I’ll start piecing it together this afternoon!

Oh what a fun challenge. I like this. I am a very visual scraper as well but I am sure this will be fun.
Off to get started.
